Phosphor Bronze PB102 is a common grade of wrought phosphor bronze, and is used for a wide range of general-purpose applications. It is a metal alloy containing around 5% tin (Sn) and up to 0.4% phosphorus (P), with copper (Cu) making up the remaining content.
The tin and phosphorus is added to give enhanced wear resistance, strength, and corrosion resistance. The tin in the alloy also gives it an excellent spring quality. It has very good mechanical and cold-forming properties, as well as being reasonably machinable, good weldability, and excellent for soldering and brazing.
We sell Phosphor Bronze PB102 in sheet form. Available in 0.7mm and 1.2mm thicknesses, in either 305x100mm or 305x300mm sheets.
