Tosa Washi Paper
This paper comes from Tosa, a province in Kochi Prefecture. Tosa Washi sheets are machine-made with one side having a slight roughness. They have a strong, crisp texture and are primarily used for wallpapers/screens (shoji, fusuma, etc). Additionally, they can be utilized in various techniques such as painting, drawing, and printing, as well as for creating lampshades and other items.
10% kozo, 70% pulp, 20% rayon. pH 6.5
When printmaking you can use this paper for the following processes:
Etching - dampen by spray or by using dampened support paper
Screen printing - paper may show vacuum holes in flat areas of ink
Lithography - good for line work and fine detail but picking may occur on flats
Relief - good for line work and fine detail but picking may occur on flats
