Lithium Carbonate
A good alkaline flux used as a substitute for soda and potash when a good craze resistance is required.
Acts as a flux in earthenware and stoneware glazes. Provides a typical alkaline colour response, in stoneware glazes bringing out blues with copper and pink with cobalt. Lithium glazes are known for the halo effect on textured surfaces.
