Barium Carbonate
£12.85
In high temperature glazes Barium Carbonate is used as a flux. It also produces matt and semi matt surfaces at earthenware temperatures, but an excess will cause a rough, dry glaze surface.
Used to prevent scumming arising from soluble salts in casting slips (up to 5%).
